This book is very different from the Janet McLeod Trotter books I have previous read. It was suspenseful, and the characters were for the most part dark and mysterious. It is filled with secrets, legends, and a bit of fantasy. It was a page turner that's for sure, and I needed to finished it because I wanted to know what really happened on the island of Kulah.Product details

Not her usual standard, A bit too fanciful for my liking
A rather haunting delightful story, quite different to the usual Trotter tales which I always enjoy. This is a must to read
All of Janet's books are so well written and this one is no exception. I really enjoy this author and hope she keeps writing for a long time to come.

This is a wonderful mystery story. So many twists and turns. It kept me going until the very end. Very hard to put down.
Very different from her usual Tyneside sagas and i was a bit disappointed in it - too much myth and folklore although i suppose that was as it was on the remote Scottish Ireland where it was set.
